"Fabulous business hotel" am staying at this hotel right now and I am loving every minute of it. I have to admint I was apprehensive about staying here when I read the other review, but when I determined that the prior reviewer was looking for a romantic get away and I was just looking for a good "business" hotel, I decided to go for it. I am sure glad that I did. Since my stay started on Monday, I could take advantage of the 50%-off to 70%-off deals they offered. I am currently pay only 70 Euros for a large room with nice fixtures and furniture and excellent airconditioning (a *must* in Spain during the summer - it is July now). The breakfast buffet I had this morning was sumptious (more than expected). Although this hotel is beyond walking distance to my conference, the cabs are cheap and seem to give exact change. As a "romantic" place it is not that bad either, but nothing special. I see that the 6th floor is being completely renovated and 5th floor is also getting some work. I am staying on te 7th floor and the paint/room is in excellent condition. If I had to come to Valenacia again I would definately considering staying here again. If I get a nastry surprise during check out I will post again.

"Excellant Hotel" We stayed for 4 nights at the Astoria from the 28th Feb 2005 . The rooms and bathroom were spacious and well furnished . A very good bufffet breakfast with Smoked Salmon, Scambled Eggs, Sausage Bacon etc. Freshly squeezed orange juice and the best expresso in town. The service was excellant and location is perfect for a short break , right in the centre of the old town.
